Hawkesbury Tree House

This is treehouse living, with a nautical twist in our unique granny flat design, nestled among the trees on an amazing Hawkesbury River property. This two-story cabin-style dwelling maximizes garden space on a steep block, while catering to the modern lifestyle.

Downstairs, discover a cozy bedroom and a functional home office, seamlessly connected to the outdoors through a series of pathways and decks. External bath and shower areas offer a refreshing retreat in nature.

Upstairs, the expansive open-plan living area boasts light filled raking ceilings and opens onto a deck perched high among the treetops, providing stunning water views.

Rustic materials and finishes give the space a coastal feel, with reclaimed hardwood and timber from abandoned oyster farms used for structural components and trims respectively. Rusted Corten steel panels add character and natural texture to the external walls.

Our client embraces indoor-outdoor living with expansive external decks and bathing areas. Large sliding doors and louvre windows invite cooling breezes and blur the lines between inside and out, enhancing their connection to the natural environment.

If this is the cabin experience you are after, we can adapt this design for your own property. Contact us today and ask about our selection of adaptable eco cabins.

About the
Professional

Integrated Biotecture Design was founded with a desire to create healthy, sustainable buildings that connect with the environment, allowing both the occupants and the environment to flourish. Having had the pleasure to work hands-on with natural materials, practice permaculture and a strong interest in building science, we firmly believe wholistic design is the ultimate path to sustainability. With this we aim to create enduring sustainable architecture through biophilic design, the use of natural, healthy materials and those that have a low carbon footprint.
