This Grey Lynn family home desperately needed an update to be more practical, so the owner reached out to Renovation Partner Dominic Hollands. The renovation included creating two bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry space, and repurposing existing rooms into a spacious lounge. The living areas are laden with warm wood, retro furniture, and lush exotic greenery for a remarkable mid-century modern style. Down the hall now lives a high-contrast contemporary bathroom. At the homeowner’s request, the communal areas are a welcoming space, encouraging connection, while the bedroom is a tranquil sanctuary to relax and recharge. This project is brought to you by Renovation Partner Dominic Hollands from Refresh Renovations. Disclaimers: All Refresh Renovations franchises are independently owned and operated. “I was given a fresh look at our home through the eyes of a Refresh consultant. She not only gave me her recommendations for immediate ways to take the house forward now, cost effectively, she also suggested a modification for the bathroom upstairs, should I get less mobile. Her visit has made us feel enthusiastic to get on and put her recommendations into effect soon. We have already written to seek quotes from recommended providers.”
