Lugtons is an amazing client, every month there are some incredible homes to capture. Timelines are tight and requirements are high. I love working on these amazing homes and bringing out the best out of each and everyone of them. These four properties in the Coromandel were stunning examples of very different genres, modern and colonial. It was fun to really bring out the best of each.
Often the challenges are many, but particularly access to the house in the best time of the day can be the biggest. More often than not I need to pull out all the tricks in the bag to get the best results. These designer homes had special requirements and amazing architectural points to capture and bring to the fore. The light and form of the houses are extremely different from each other but elegant in their own ways. All these properties are on the west coast of the Coromandel meant an afternoon/evening shoot would be best, and the weather certainly came to the party.
Both Lugtons and the clients were over the moon with these results, really showing off the feel, the lifestyle of the homes. When you only get a few seconds for people to see the property online, these stunning images really hit the mark.
Welcome to the Chris Hillock Photographer Archipro site. I am a specialist in architecture, landscapes, commercial, corporate stills and video production. Deeply passionate about storytelling, I enjoy working with dedicated architects to capture their amazing stories and projects, connecting them with their audiences.
With 11 years as an NZDF photographer, travelling internationally, 6 years as a staff photographer for Fairfax Media (Qantas Junior Photographer of the Year 2011 - Best Single Pic), and now an established photographer and video producer for the last 8 years, based in the Waikato.
Often travelling both nationally and internationally for projects, I have a wide range of experience to bring to any project. I enjoy the rush of capturing the perfect shot or the interesting story, it keeps me coming back project after project and year after year.
My clients include Gartshore, Architecture Bureau, Arto, Diary NZ, Rabobank, MPI, Department of Conservation, Kiwiharvest, Master Builders Waikato, Wintec, University of Waikato, and many more.
Storytelling has been a driving force for me for many years now. The power of documentary films has been amazing, giving detail and depth to the vision brought to projects. There’s nothing as enjoyable as creating a film or a series of shots that express a message, or an emotion, enabling a connection between an audience and a project.
The key to any successful marketing campaign is connecting with your audience with a genuine, honest, and passionate story. People connect with people, and those connections help make great relationships. Using my years of visual journalism experience I am to create engaging images and stories that make an impact, helping you tell the story of your project and your business with stills and branding videos.
My team and I create visual materials in a variety of formats for NZIA Awards, Project showcases, Corporate Branding, Print marketing, and online marketing.
Our favourite projects explore the vision, process and ethos behind projects that have an impact, helping you connect with clients looking for a professional that understands them.
