Masterbuilders Waikato, had more than 50 entries into the 2014 New Zealand Master Builders regional competition. Each entry required a portfolio of images to showcase the projects for promotional materials, and judging support packages. From new builds to renovations, from the Coromandel to the West coast of the Waikato, from $500,000 budgets to 2 million + budget
Each entry had limited availability and various situations from just finished to lived it. This meant running with a light kit, two flashes and stands and using available to create a natural look but with clean light to give that polished look. A set of twenty images, a mix of internal and external shots showing the highlights and the details of each build.
Master builders used the images in several ways, from prints for display, website publication, and each competitor used them for their own promotion. Feedback from Master Builders Waikato was great, the images where exactly what they needed and delighted with the service. I certainly enjoyed the project.
Welcome to the Chris Hillock Photographer Archipro site. I am a specialist in architecture, landscapes, commercial, corporate stills and video production. Deeply passionate about storytelling, I enjoy working with dedicated architects to capture their amazing stories and projects, connecting them with their audiences.
With 11 years as an NZDF photographer, travelling internationally, 6 years as a staff photographer for Fairfax Media (Qantas Junior Photographer of the Year 2011 - Best Single Pic), and now an established photographer and video producer for the last 8 years, based in the Waikato.
Often travelling both nationally and internationally for projects, I have a wide range of experience to bring to any project. I enjoy the rush of capturing the perfect shot or the interesting story, it keeps me coming back project after project and year after year.
My clients include Gartshore, Architecture Bureau, Arto, Diary NZ, Rabobank, MPI, Department of Conservation, Kiwiharvest, Master Builders Waikato, Wintec, University of Waikato, and many more.
Storytelling has been a driving force for me for many years now. The power of documentary films has been amazing, giving detail and depth to the vision brought to projects. There’s nothing as enjoyable as creating a film or a series of shots that express a message, or an emotion, enabling a connection between an audience and a project.
The key to any successful marketing campaign is connecting with your audience with a genuine, honest, and passionate story. People connect with people, and those connections help make great relationships. Using my years of visual journalism experience I am to create engaging images and stories that make an impact, helping you tell the story of your project and your business with stills and branding videos.
My team and I create visual materials in a variety of formats for NZIA Awards, Project showcases, Corporate Branding, Print marketing, and online marketing.
Our favourite projects explore the vision, process and ethos behind projects that have an impact, helping you connect with clients looking for a professional that understands them.
