Alterations and additions to a modest, cladded cottage on a steeply-sloped site. A transitional experience through the site that works with the levels to achieve a pleasant experience from street to rear. The brief was to provide a timeless, modern-coastal home that is to serve the families’ growing needs into the foreseeable future. Bedrooms and private living areas are located to the front zone of the house, whereas the open-plan kitchen, living, dining and alfresco spaces are located to the rear – providing a sensible connection with the rear yard. The street presence of this beauty really leaves a lasting-impression.
