Paihia House

Website

Built in 2005 by the owner (a local builder) the Paihia house sits on a ridge overlooking across the beautiful bay of Islands to Russell.

Lindholm design provided developed concept and architectural drafting services to obtain building consent documentation, based on the clients own sketch concept, the client chose James Hardie Linea weatherboard and timber facings to achieve a “Boat house” feel to the upper storeys.  3 storeys in part the home incorporated an Access Elevatiors, "Magic carpet” internal platform lift from the basement level.

A “Busck” pre-stressed concrete floor cantilevered out form the living space to form balconies. Concrete block retaining walls to the basement with a cement render finish,  painted timber trims and feature detailing to pergolas completed the home.
