Recently announced as the next head coach of the All Blacks, Scott "Razor" Robertson understands the importance of having a space to relax and regroup, away from the rigours of coaching one of the world's iconic sports teams. He turned to Juralco and their network of Bask Outdoor Living installers, to create a bespoke outdoor room for his family to use year-round.
Razor, who has experienced huge success as a player and latterly as the coach of the Canterbury Crusaders, understands the value of utilizing space both on and off the field and he engaged our local installer MAK Homes Ltd, to make his vision a reality.
The resulting outdoor room is truly impressive, consisting of a Juralco Freestanding Louvre Roof with added Drop-Down Screens and Glaslide® glass sliding doors. The louvre roof is powder coated in a Matt Black finish and requires no supporting structures for installation, and drainage is incorporated into the beams behind matching covers to ensure an uncluttered finished look and a perfect fit for Razor's requirements.
The pivoting louvre blades are custom designed to fit the available space and set to optimum sun orientation. Meanwhile, the drop-down screen provides protection from the elements including blocking 90% of harmful UV light. The beautiful Glaslide® panels that slide smoothly and easily on heavy-duty rails, allow the flexibility to open and close up the area to suit the situation and allow the family to enjoy the space however they like.
He is thrilled with the final product, describing it as "beautiful as an extension of the house and his living area for the family." The outdoor room has become a multi-purpose facility where the family can relax, work, or play, and, thanks to the aftercare provided by Juralco, Razor says the finished product is "world-class."
