The Challenge
The owners wanted to avoid the need for yard work. With their busy schedules, the last thing they wanted was to spend their limited free time maintaining a lawn. They needed a solution that would be both beautiful and hassle-free, allowing them to “lock and leave” without worrying about watering, mowing, or upkeep.
The Goal
Their objective was simple: to create a space where they could unwind and enjoy luxurious outdoor living without the burden of maintenance. The courtyard would serve as both a private retreat and a stylish entertainment area, seamlessly complementing the elegance of their new home.
TigerTurf’s Solution
To meet the client’s needs, TigerTurf supplied Serenity 40, a lush, natural-looking synthetic grass, along with 10mm rubber underlay for added comfort. Serenity 40 offers a perfect balance of aesthetics and practicality. It replicates the beauty of a well-manicured lawn but eliminates the need for irrigation, mowing, or drainage concerns, making it ideal for the enclosed courtyard.
The Result
The new courtyard has transformed into a luxurious, low-maintenance haven. The synthetic turf offers a lush, clean, and inviting space that perfectly complements the modern architecture of the home. We still make almost all of our products in our Auckland factory, with materials manufactured by our parent company, TenCate Grass. We control the quality and performance of every synthetic turf system we create, in our own factory, at every step of the production process. We control where and how our yarns are extruded. We control which products go into our fibres. We develop and manufacture our own backing cloths. We develop, manufacture and build the performance bases that we lay our turf systems over. And finally, we can recycle our old, end-of-life products into new, start-of-life products.
