When live music legends Judith & Stuart Clumpas took on the iconic Waipara Winehouse & Winery in Amberly, their vision of showcasing premier events, music, and dining amongst the vines sounded entirely romantic & well worth a compulsory site visit!

Absolutely no stranger to the heavy traffic after a life of gigs big and small, interior specialist Judith had a clear vision on how the floor needed to look against the establish stone walls & enormous timber rafters, but more importantly, how it must perform, essentially under siege day to day by both wine & music lovers.

Committed to natural materials first and foremost, timber floors were preferred but what wasn't quite established, was how they were going achieve the performance required for such a bustling venue knowing traditional hardwoods tend to suffer in such environments - enter Ecodure and their extraordinary Hardened Oak flooring technology.

BJELIN Hardened Oak was selected being 3 times stronger than traditional solid or engineered floors. The board profile was also important given the incomparable volume of the spaces. At 271mm wide x 2400mm long, the XXL version is at ease & in lockstep with the oversized joinery, soaring ceilings and incredible stone slabs throughout.

Now well and truly up and running, the venue is nothing less than spectacular and ready to welcome Jack Johnson, Ben Harper & John Butler 22 November 2026.
