Centor Screens - S5 Screen System

In today's modern building world, one of the key topics of conversation relates to comfort of living.  Double or triple glazing.  Indoor, outdoor flow.  But what about the hardware that protects you from the outside when you have your doors or windows open?  Insects, damaging UV rays and intense heat can interfere with that comfort of living.  Centor's range of screen solutions is the answer for this.

Centor has produced a range of insect screens and sun blinds for both windows and doors.  One of their latest releases is aimed at the retrofit window market.  Introducing Centor S5.

Designed for timber windows up to 1800mm high by 2400mm wide, Centor’s new S5 Screen is a vertically retractable, chain-operated screen or blind that can be easily controlled with one hand. This makes it perfect for use on a window with a servery between the kitchen and an outdoor entertaining area. It also provides easy access to windows when cleaning is required.

Too often you see products used in the market that aren't up to the standard you would expect.  Most pull down screens tend to rattle in the wind making them a noisy and an annoying addition.  The Centor S5 system has incorporated a guide system which means no more rattling.  This works perfectly for their insect screens as this fills in the void using brush seals so flies and mosquitos can't work their way into living areas and bedrooms.  You can now open your window at night on those hot summers nights, knowing your sleep isn't going to be interrupted.

In addition to the insect screen option, S5 also can be used for a sun blind and block out blind.  Both the S5 and S6 have a comprehensive range of materials offering either one of these functions.  You don't have to compromise when it comes to your interior design.  The discrete channels covered in your choice of timber gives the feel of an integrated system.  Your options include unfinished New Guinea Rosewood, Western Red Cedar, Meranti, Victorian Ash and Primed which are intended to blend in with you timber joinery. This doesn't mean you're limited to using S5 with timber joinery only.  This can be used with aluminium joinery with the intention of the painted timber to blend in with your architraves or reveal.

S5 is available in kit form which are then cut to suit you opening.  This provides an easy solution for your screen installation.  If you're not quite up for the task, we can put you in contact with a licensed installer who can assist with your needs.  Talk to us about how we can help you with your window screen requirements.
