Drawing on the language of the traditional Southland crib, the simple gabled form is expressed through a refined palette of distressed galvanised corrugate and vertical cedar.

A central living pavilion anchors the plan, with bedrooms positioned at either end to provide privacy and balance. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the outlook and fills the interior with natural light, while distinctive window forms add architectural interest. Open-plan living extends seamlessly to a deck and outdoor entertaining area, while raking plywood ceilings with negative detailing enhance the sense of space within the compact footprint.
