The gable form containing the living spaces steps down from the two-storey gable form containing accommodation.
The home with its five striking gable forms, unfurls in the landscape down to a pool and cabana at the bottom of the slope.
The brutalist front elevation of the entryway belies the light filled interior and ethereal views over stunning Raupo Bay.
The house is accessed by a winding driveway that connects to the road above, from which the house cannot be seen.
A single metal cladding material is used for the entire exterior cladding and roofing in a "flax pod" dark colour.
The pool cabana adds a "Hollywood" vibe to the property, says David Hill.
This outdoor fireplace and entertaining area is tucked into a sheltered courtyard off the back of the central hallway.
The five gable forms each interconnect with this split level central hallway.
The kitchen and dining space is open plan and connects to the living space. The master bedroom leads off from the bottom of this space.
The lounge takes in stunning views of Raupo Bay and the peninsula.
