A Bold Fusion of Industrial Bunker and Vegas Glamour. Mashina Lounge transforms the basement car park of Christchurch Casino into a vibrant live venue and multipurpose space, filling the demand in the post-quake market. Creating a welcoming entry through a stark concrete façade while managing its acoustic output, the design enhances a monumental building and creates something that appears as if was always meant to be there.

Drawing inspiration from an abandoned Russian Cold War bunker with a touch of Vegas flair, the space is defined by steel frames, custom heavy furniture, and industrial elements like exposed HVAC systems and fire sprinklers. This fusion of materials creates a bold, energetic atmosphere, while carefully designed acoustic treatments ensure comfort and privacy.

Polycarbonate cladding and multi-colour LED lighting introduce a dynamic element, tailoring the ambiance for diverse events, from corporate conferences to themed celebrations. With playful touches inspired by Russian culture and the excess of Vegas, the Mashina Lounge emerges as a lively, modern venue, bold, vibrant, and undeniably unique.
