Star Jasmine Residence

Star Jasmine Residence represents a considered evolution of a family home, revisited three decades after its original conception. Built in the 1990s for a young family, the residence was initially designed by Christina, whom the same client subsequently invited to oversee its renovation. Completed in 2026, this modern refurbishment by Matic by Design balances continuity with contemporary refinement, responding to the household’s changing requirements while respecting its longstanding connection to the property.  Central to the renovation was the installation of a lift to support ageing in place, establishing accessibility as an integral component of the design rather than a secondary consideration. Revised layouts for the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms prioritise functionality and ease of movement, while the formal lounge has been reinterpreted with a more contemporary sensibility. Discreetly integrated secret doors introduce an element of discovery while maintaining the visual coherence of the interiors.  The project brings together contributions from Hettich, Jetmaster Fireplaces, Clipsal by Schneider Electric, Space Furniture, Stormtech, Keeler Hardware, Zip Water and Shade Factor. Uniting practical adaptation with a restrained modern aesthetic, the renovation establishes a thoughtful foundation for the home’s next chapter.
