Wattle House

Overlooking Linley Point, Wattle House is a contemporary home reimagined by Matic by Design for family life and effortless entertaining. Once cold and soulless, its expansive open spaces, glossy floor tiles and kitchen positioned at the entrance called for a more thoughtful layout. The transformation brings warmth and purpose to the home while celebrating its outlook.  A triple-fronted fireplace now divides the generous open-plan entrance from the living area, creating a striking architectural focal point and a welcoming sense of arrival. Relocated away from the entrance, the kitchen takes advantage of the view while providing convenient access from the lift for groceries. A carefully integrated walk-in pantry fulfils a non-negotiable part of the clients’ brief, supporting both everyday routines and hosting family and friends.  The powder room and master ensuite were also reconfigured around the clients’ specific requirements, extending the considered approach throughout the home. The result is a warm, inviting retreat that balances contemporary character with the practical needs of a family.
