Today high performance buildings are seeking to be further energy efficient and are requiring greater thermal performance through improved suite sections. Thermosash's Thermally Broken (TB) and TI (Thermally Isolated) series offer this solution - providing not only much improved reduced transmittance of heat load and heat loss - but exceeding industry codes on air filtration which is a significant component of building heating and cooling efficiencies.

Our engineered low-carbon aluminium thermal break systems offer exceptional thermal efficiency, as well as longevity in product life span minimising maintenance costs and maximising the return on invest on the facade of the building;

It is important to note that the aluminium section alone does not provide the thermal performance often expected. Glass specification is a significant contributor to the overall mechanical performance requirement of a building. The larger the engineered performance glass pane the better performing the panel will be on average. 

With large format glass facades, Thermosash is able to reduce the energy required to operate the building over its expected life. This is achieved through the high performance of the glass which reduces heat loads, lowers reliance on high energy draw air conditioning, and minimises heat loss through the highly insulated glass and non-vision unitised façade panels, and importantly, our facades have an almost zero air leakage façade design (tested to be upwards to 10x better performing than NZ Building Standards) meaning that the air that is conditioned inside a Thermosash building will not be lost to façade air leakage and the building will be better performing and with lower operating costs for owners and tenants.

Scope of use

A thermal break Suite is used when there is a need to reduce thermal transfer from inside to outside. Thermosash suites are often specified in areas of high condensation such as internal pool areas, or for efficient management of internal temperatures where the temperature between inside and out can vary significantly.

Warranty

Generally, our warranty is for 10 years from the date of practical completion for these products. This covers workmanship and weather tightness, providing the subcontract includes fabrication, installation and glazing of all components and a maintenance schedule is adhered to.

Our Expertise
Thermosash’s abilities have grown since its 1973 start-up when Laurie Hayes and his colleagues manufactured commercial windows out of a small production facility.
