Alder Homes

Alder Homes is a family-owned Auckland building company specialising in major home renovations and extensions. Established in 2016, we work across Auckland, with a particular focus on Pukekohe and Drury, East Auckland, and established central Auckland suburbs. We also undertake selected new builds, recladding and second dwelling projects.

Led by Director and Licensed Building Practitioner Tim Alder, a qualified carpenter with almost 30 years of hands-on residential construction experience, Alder Homes brings extensive practical knowledge of New Zealand homes to every project. Tim is particularly experienced in renovations, extensions and structural alterations, where problem-solving and an understanding of existing construction are essential.

Many of our clients come to us before plans have been drawn. We help homeowners understand what may be possible, establish a realistic budget and coordinate the architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and other specialists needed to move from an initial idea through design and into construction. We also work with clients who already have developed or consented plans.

As a small, owner-led company, clients deal directly with Tim and Tracey throughout their project, with clear communication, careful planning and support when decisions need to be made.
