An extensive Sandringham leaky-home remediation, reclad and renovation, transforming a severely deteriorated property into a dry, compliant and completely renewed Auckland home.
This Sandringham home had extensive weathertightness damage, with severe decay discovered throughout areas of the existing timber framing.
Alder Homes worked through the remediation process with the project team and Auckland Council, removing damaged materials, treating retained timber, reframing affected areas, insulating and fully recladding the home. The project also included an extension and comprehensive interior renovation.
Once the building envelope and structural issues had been resolved, the interior was completely transformed with a new kitchen, bathrooms, living spaces and finishes throughout.
The completed remediation received Council approval, resolving the property's previous leaky-home status and transforming a severely compromised building into a modern, compliant home.
