Alila Villas Uluwatu is a definitive benchmark in sustainable luxury architecture, perched on a limestone cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. Designed by the award-winning firm WOHA, the resort is a seamless integration of modernist precision and Balinese vernacular. The architectural signature is the iconic "Sunset Cabana"―a dramatic, overhanging lattice structure crafted from recycled ironwood, offering a weightless sensation above the ocean.

The design follows strict EarthCheck standards, featuring flat lava rock roofs and bamboo ceilings that facilitate natural ventilation and thermal control. Each villa is conceived as a serene sanctuary, where open-plan layouts blur the boundaries between interior spaces and the rugged coastal landscape. This project represents a harmonious dialogue between radical tropical modernism and environmental stewardship, creating a timeless retreat that honors its unique geographical context.
