A contemporary home design in Quail Rise, Queenstown, bringing stone, weathered steel and warm timber into a close relationship with its landscape.
Bridgewell brings stone, weathered steel and timber together in a contemporary home design in Quail Rise, Queenstown. Stone continues from exterior walls to interior fireplaces, while corten cladding and corrugated metal roofing give the building a distinct material character. Timber pergolas and exposed beams add warmth.
Generous glazing connects the interior with the landscape. Grasses, perennials and shrubs soften the building’s edges, while reclaimed timber steps and terraced stone walls link the outdoor levels.
Inside, raw plaster, warm neutral finishes and natural timber create a restrained, welcoming palette. Open shelving, tactile furnishings and carefully chosen fittings bring an everyday ease to the spaces.
Outdoor living areas continue the same material language through corten-edged planting, stone seating and a feature fireplace.
