Insitu: House for a Trainer fulfils the owners’ vision of a robust, unmistakably modern country home. Not your average farmhouse, the brief included the requirement for the level of detailing to be exceptional, with a preference for honest and unadorned materials.
In response, the detailing is sophisticated and beautifully crafted throughout with the design team working closely with the engineers and the builders, to deliver a high level of precision. The apparent simplicity of junctions between concrete, glass and timber elements is thoroughly considered and fulfils the brief as efficiently as possible without losing sight of the overarching vision.
