Madras Street banner

The buildings simple gable to gable form, sharp angles and rusted steel weather screen combined with Metalcraft Espan® 470 tray roofing and cladding, in COLORSTEEL® New Denim Blue was designed to fit within the context of the 1990’s surrounding buildings, both residential and industrial.

Work Of Art:
The project faced restrictions in sheet lengths due to the site size being very narrow.  Metalcraft worked closely with the architect/owner to come up with alternative details that maintained optimum water-tightness whilst keeping with the original look.

Award Winning:
The Madras Street project designed by Coll Architecture won the ADNZ Residential Multi-Unit Dwelling Architectural Design Award and the Residential Interiors Architectural Design Award,NZIA Local Archtiecture Award, NZ Wood Timber Design Award and DINZ Best Silver Award.
