Massey Innovation Complex

The new Massey University Innovation Complex in Auckland is one of the largest science and innovation facilities in New Zealand – the 9800 sq metre building houses collaborative working space, teaching and research laboratories. Thermosash delivered a total clad design solution for this project. The west elevation has custom engineered aluminium fins forming a screen system supported off the PW1000 UnitisedTM curtainwall – the system incorporates a total of 119 fins of differing size and shape, installed at 3 different angles, the longest fin being 9.3m Thermosash UnitisedTM building envelopes are designed to work as one unified system; we custom engineer, manufacture and install our curtainwall, windows, doors, skylights, louvres and integrated elements - making building facades look and perform better. We believe in working collaboratively within our teams and with the client, consultants and other stakeholder groups. We believe our systems and methodologies save time by speeding up the enclosure programme, and reduces risk. The Massey University Innovation Complex in Auckland is testament to the success of our unified systems and methodology; Thermosash achieved critical path milestones and closed in the building early despite major disruptions due to Level 4 Covid lockdowns.
