Rakaia Apartments is a five-level building and each level was designed with 3 apartments on each floor. The apartments range in size from 32m2 (1) bedroom apartments to 79m2 (2) bedroom apartments. The smaller apartments were purposely designed with a separate bedroom (as opposed to a ‘studio’), Each apartment has a large 16m2 semi-enclosed balcony positioned to obtain maximum sun. Each apartment is stepped slightly in a plan to enable views to Cranmer Square. Wrapping them around the vertical circulation core ensures each apartment receives natural light from at least 2 sides.
