Staples Rodway’s existing offices no longer supported the firms working requirements. Our brief was specific about the front of house space, which had to service a loyal client base whilst attracting new clients. The space had to support both training events and confidential discussions.
The offices are located internally with a flexible open plan workspace distributed around the perimeter. The re-discovery of a New Zealand pottery collection that had formed a feature of their original fitout led to its reuse in this design. Consequently, the reception space became a gallery. All other finishes were deliberately pared back in order that the art and the occupants became the heroes.
