The house sits low and is a single level stepping down to meet the natural contours, minimising its bulk on the ridgeline as well as the wind loading. The intention was to place the house on the site without too much disruption; the land was never adjusted to suit. The materials and finishes are durable and relatively maintenance free due to the harsh coastal environment, and upon entering the house one is greeted by the stunning view.
