Woody Creek Ranch

Located along the Roaring Fork River in Woody Creek, this 4,200 square foot residence was designed for a local physician and his young family with a focus on openness, comfort, and connection to the surrounding landscape. Traditional architectural forms were reinterpreted through a more contemporary lens, allowing expansive glass openings and clean detailing to bring natural light and river views deep into the home. The vaulted great room anchors the residence and opens directly to outdoor living spaces overlooking the water, creating an easy relationship between the interior and the landscape beyond. The material and color palette was intentionally restrained and welcoming, pairing farmhouse-inspired whites with soft blue tones that reflect both the river setting and Colorado’s expansive skies. Throughout the home, the design balances warmth and simplicity with a modern sensibility, creating spaces that feel relaxed, functional, and closely tied to the character of the site.
