Home Design Evening returns to Shed 10. Register now and be part of the night.

At the centre of the evening is a live conversation hosted by architect and Grand Designs New Zealand presenter Tom Webster, who returns to lead a panel exploring the decisions that quietly determine whether a home works.

What it costs, how it performs and how it ultimately feels to live in.

It’s the kind of discussion most homeowners rarely get to hear firsthand: the candid perspective of architects, designers and builders reflecting on what happens before construction begins, and the moments where the direction of a project is often set.

Across the room, homeowners will be able to meet the brands and specialists behind many of New Zealand’s most considered homes.

From Altus Windows & Doors, the event’s headline sponsor, to trusted material and product suppliers such as VidaSpace, Artisan Stone, Forté, Resene Construction Systems, Nero Tapware, Sanctuary Pergolas, Hansen Timber, Vidblock, Hettich, The Natural Stone co., James Hardie, Naked Flame, Zennith Water, Ribon, PDL by Schneider, JSC and Peter Fell.

The evening offers a rare opportunity to speak directly with the people behind the products you may already be researching for your own home.

Alongside them are specialists across structure, craft and construction, including Juken, The Woodsmiths, Studco, Parex, Holyoake Air Management Solutions, SolutionAir, Prestige Garage Doors, Caroma. Amore Homes and Lightforce Solar each bringing expertise that shapes how a home ultimately performs and feels to live in.

Architects, builders, designers and construction partners will also be present throughout the evening, including teams from Billi, Caroma, Kitchen Architecture, CA Architecture, JTB Architects, 360 PMCC, Landmark Homes, Fortified Construction, Ze Build and Oliver Tuck Construction offering homeowners the chance to ask questions, discuss ideas and gain insights directly from the professionals who design and build homes every day.

For anyone planning a home, the hardest part is often knowing where to begin.

Home Design Evening brings that process into focus. In one evening, you can hear directly from architects and builders about the decisions that shape great homes, explore materials and products in person, and have the kinds of conversations that normally take months of research to uncover.

For many homeowners, it becomes the moment where ideas turn into clarity where the project starts to feel real.
