Inspired by art, culture and exceptional craftsmanship, the designer brands available from Riva Ceramica provide endless possibilities for residential and commercial spaces.
“Our European designers draw inspiration from centuries-old traditions, iconic architecture and influential movements like Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau. Our Australian designers draw inspiration from a younger history – bringing a melting pot of new ideas, they embrace originality and innovation, free from constraints of heritage styles,” says Riva Furman, managing director at Riva Ceramica.
Introducing Diesel Living
Known for its bold and rebellious identity in the fashion world, Diesel is a brand synonymous with quality and personality and is exclusively available in Australia from Riva Ceramica.
It’s described as expressing a rebellious and non-conformist spirit with this often emphasised in its innovative and cutting-edge designs. Diesel Living extends this identity into the realm of home and lifestyle products, attracting consumers who resonate with the brand’s ethos.
“The brand seeks to push creative boundaries, experiment with new ideas, and challenge traditional norms in the world of fashion, lifestyle and design. Like the Diesel fashion line, the Diesel Living tiles and timber collection emphasises quality craftsmanship and attention to detail,” says Furman.
“This focus on quality sets the brand apart in terms of durability and overall product excellence.”
Often incorporating an industrial and edgy aesthetic into its designs with the use of raw materials, distressed finishes and bold, unconventional designs inspired by urban and industrial elements, Diesel has created tiles and wall panels that elevate interiors and respond to the latest trends.

One example is Diesel Living’s textural tiles and wall panels.
Mimicking the appearance of liquid magma turning into a solid, forming striking new shapes and patterns, Diesel Living’s porcelain Liquid Stone tiles offer both a natural and industrial aesthetic.
“They offer a unique and artistic way to decorate a space, combining natural and industrial elements. The range also has a variety of colours and sizes, plus an in-and-out finish to suit different tastes and needs,” says Furman.
Imitating the appearance and texture of worn leather, the porcelain tiles create a cosy and sophisticated atmosphere for any space.
“It’s popular because it combines the quality and durability of porcelain stoneware with the style and personality of Diesel Living. It is also versatile and adaptable as it comes in different colours and sizes to suit different applications and offers a unique way to decorate walls and floors with a touch of leather.”
The Liquid Stone tile is available in six colours, imitating when liquid magma emerges from the depths of the earth, flowing sinuously and solidifying.
As well as the Diesel Living range, Riva Ceramica supplies other premium tile collections – each with their own unique style.
Colour
Colour is in, and it’s little wonder with the personality and energy coloured tiles bring to any space.
“Bright hues such as pink, turquoise, yellow and green can create a cheerful and lively atmosphere, while darker tiles such as navy, burgundy and black can create a dramatic and elegant mood,” says Furman.
“Bold colours can also be used to create striking patterns, gradients or accents, or to contrast with neutral or white tiles. We encourage our clients to experiment more with bold colours and rich designs.”
While Diesel Living has many bold options, other ranges such as Balance offer a selection of soft, relaxing colour palettes ranging from cool to warm shades. Balance was born to harmonise decorative elements in composite architectural surfaces, defining a moment of suspension, a pause that enhances new expressive forms.
“Our range of colour tiles varies from traditional smaller formats to large porcelain panels in 6mm and benchtop slabs in 12mm.”

Large-format tiles
A trend that isn’t going anywhere, large-format tiles are stylish and practical, and create a seamless and spacious look with fewer grout lines.
“We have the largest selection of large-format tile in bold colours, patterns and textures that are suitable for both walls and floors,” says Furman.
Terrazzo tiles
“Terrazzo tiles are on trend with their colourful and speckled appearance that adds a playful and retro vibe to any room. Terrazzo tiles are also durable and easy to maintain, making them a practical choice for high-traffic areas in commercial and residential projects.”
Riva Ceramica has a wide range of traditional cement-based terrazzo from Italy, as well as a stunning range of full-bodied terrazzo-look tiles.
Venice Villa is a stunning historical revival of the Venetian terrazzo. Each tile is distinguished by its singular variety of colours and grain sizes with the marble-effect fragments standing out like jewels.
Handmade and 3D tiles
Handmade tiles and designs with 3D elements are sculptural with their geometric shapes that create dynamic, eye-catching effects. They can be used to create feature walls, accent areas or smaller focal points, and can also be carefully placed to create interesting light and shadows
A stunning example of this is the glazed Teorema tile with its geometric forms.
“Our handmade range of terracotta and glazed stone tiles from Sicily allow our clients to create unique spaces.”

Teorema results from exploring primal symbols made up of minimal, austere signs achieved by incising glazed lava stone tiles.
