Motu Kaikoura is a crown owned scenic reserve north-west of Great Barrier Island in the Hauraki Gulf – an open sanctuary for native flora and fauna managed by the Motu Kaikoura Community Trust. The lodge area is located on the southern side of the island, it’s purpose to provide temporary accommodation and facilitate research workers, education inititiatives, volunteers and public visitors to the unique island.

Materials are robust and locally sourced where possible, the pre-finished Metalcraft Corrugate exterior in Lichen blends in to the surrounding bush, contrasted by the warmth of the glowing timber interior and natural finishes.
