The Snells Beach House project by Macfie Architecture, completed in 2024, showcases a modern design that perfectly embodies the desires of our inner-city clients who traded their apartment for a dream home by the beach. The layout of the home was meticulously planned to maximise the stunning sea views, with the kitchen, living, dining, and master bedroom situated on the street entrance level, while the natural landscape's curvature was utilised to create dual levels, incorporating two guest bedrooms and bathrooms that open onto an outdoor seating area and lawn. 

To ensure a low-maintenance yet striking exterior, the decision was made to clad the building in ABODO Vulcan Charred Cladding. Inspired by traditional Japanese timber preservation techniques, this richly textured cladding boasts a unique black aesthetic and requires minimal upkeep, complemented by white bagged brick to create a visually impactful street presence. Now fully settled in, our clients are embracing their new coastal lifestyle in this thoughtfully designed single-house project in the Beach House category.
