Huntsbury

This project was a beautiful bitter-sweet story for the homeowners. The original home was a family home that had been damaged during the earthquakes. Sadly, the owner passed away and left the home to his two adult children. So the siblings set about rebuilding the property with the goal of selling it at the end of the process. Simplexity were called in to carry out the work. Because the goal was clear, there was less owner involvement and more builder involvement than Simplexity ordinarily deal with. What this meant in reality was that Jarrod and the team guided and advised the homeowners on many of the choices of products, materials and finishes of the home. It was all about getting the best value for money, maintaining the high-quality feel, and not over-capitalising on the home. The home still needed to be in keeping with the area, and the team still used high-quality materials throughout. In this way, not only will the home look more desirable when it came time to sell, but it also stands up better to wear and tear. Jarrod also recommended the homeowners follow a strict budget and avoid overspending on materials or labour. Because Jarrod has been in the industry for over 25 years, he knows which subcontractors he can rely on to provide a quality job. He also knows what small details will make a big difference. For instance, the strip drains in the showers and the alcove in the master ensuite. These are relatively straightforward things to do, but they can really lift the home to the next level of luxury.
