The CML Building is an iconic commercial, art deco building in Lower Hutt from the 1950's, recently redeveloped as 3 levels of apartments above the commercial ground floor.

Heritage features such as curves and fabulous fenestration are key features in the project. 

Heritage Carpets had worked with CML’s developers to deliver more than 15,000m2 of off-the-shelf carpet in previous projects, but for this fit-out Wellington Architects Designgroup Stapleton Elliott wanted a classic loop-look carpet with the performance of solution-dyed nylon that would fit with the building's aesthetic. With budget in mind, Heritage generated a design using concept images, creating a textured loop broadloom that was durable and practical, yet looked premium and sat well within the architecture of the building.

The Heritage Carpets bespoke carpet is throughout the apartments across all three residential floors, with off-the-shelf carpet tiles also supplied in access hallways.
