Inspired by Australia’s landscape, places and animals, this new flooring collection takes country to heart.

Armstrong Flooring has been producing high-performance flooring ranges for commercial applications in Australia since the 1960s, and it’s become a product of choice for architects and designers looking to create dynamic spaces. While Armstrong Flooring produces a fantastic selection of hybrid, laminate, luxury vinyl planks, sheet vinyl rolls and vinyl composition tiles for industries such as healthcare, education, retail and hospitality, it’s their new Natralis collection of homogenous vinyl sheet flooring that’s caught our attention.

Australian made and owned

Natralis is an Australian-made and owned recyclable product manufactured locally at a Braeside plant in Victoria, is Global Greentag Certified and conforms to the guidelines set by Green Building Council of Australia. Natralis is also suitable for building a healthy indoor environment due to its ultra-low VOC and phthalate-free construction. Plus, it has a unique hygienic formulation and surface profile that’s resistant to staining and promotes easy cleaning. However, the true beauty of the Natralis collection can only be fully appreciated by understanding what it was inspired by.

Reconnecting to country

While the Natralis colourway range is influenced by Australia’s landscape and animals, it was a specific and inconspicuous tree that inspired the key concepts of the range: a beautiful river red gum tree that has been preserved on the Braeside site since Armstrong Flooring was founded in 1969. It has stood as a symbol of resilience and connection to country over these past years and informed the direction of the Natralis collection.

Celebrating cultural landmarks

Each hue within the collection has been inspired by, and named after, a region, location or native animal, and the interpretation of these things into a colour is designed to help people make the connection between colour and space. The names of each colour also hold cultural meaning and signify aspects of Australia’s history. For example, ‘Winton’ was inspired by the red sand found in outback Australia, and the town Winton is home to ‘Waltzing Matilda’, an iconic symbol from Australian history.

Modern Australian living

Natralis vinyl sheet flooring is an innovative product that is durable, low-maintenance and easy to clean. It has superior wear and abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and it’s waterproof, making it ideal for a variety of applications. From health and hospitality environments to commercial and residential spaces, Natralis reflects the unique beauty found in the landscapes and animals of Australia and imbues your project with a sense of place, purpose and belonging.
