If you’ve got a lot of airflow, you also need to ensure you can’t reach a hand through,” says Broide.

“We have quite a wide range of automation features, from mobile capability and WiFi connection to safety beams, that can also be incorporated.”

Particularly in small homes and apartments, there can be limited ways to inject personality and design – especially on the exterior.
