A market leader in custom-made aluminium products for the architecture industry, Juralco has an innovative range of New Zealand-designed products. With product development at the forefront of mind, recent changes have been made to the brand’s offering, with new designs added to its repertoire of Outdoor Living Systems, along with a rebrand and redesign of its popular pivot louvre roof.
“Our SunPivot, SunFold and VelaSun each have a number of different configurations. They can be fixed to your house in a number of ways, or they can be completely freestanding as an outdoor room. They’re almost an extension of your house, bringing indoor-outdoor flow, and they have a number of uses,” says Juralco’s Dan Rawling.
The SunPivot pivoting louvre roof is the latest generation of Juralco’s tried and tested pivoting louvre roof. Originally known as the HomePlus louvre roof with its pivoting blades to let the sun and air through, the product has undergone a complete redevelopment with its redesign offering stronger louvre blades, beams and legs.
Each SunPivot is custom-made for every project and can be fixed onto all styles and shapes of homes. No supporting structures are required for installation, providing flexibility for the SunPivot to be placed in a separate outdoor area to bring your vision for year-round alfresco entertaining to life.
Available in integrated, wall-mounted, or freestanding configurations it expertly combines the traditional New Zealand veranda or gazebo concept with a modern louvred roof for a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Features:
A retracting and folding louvre roof, the SunFold can be fully closed, partially open and pivoted, or fully retracted and stacked to one side.
“It retracts open so you’re looking at the sky above, rather than at tilted louvre blades,” says Rawling.
Like the SunPivot, all SunFold Louvre Roofs are custom-designed for each project’s specific requirements and can be powder-coated in the finish of your choice.
Features:
The VelaSun Outdoor Living System is an ideal solution for extra outdoor shelter for the home.
An elegant aluminium, fixed outdoor pergola system designed to shelter your outdoor entertainment area from harsh sun and rain, it’s a perfect fixed canopy for New Zealand’s variable weather conditions.
“This is a fixed roof system, whereas the SunPivot and SunFold are folding and pivoting – they open to some degree. However, this is a pergola with an aluminium frame and you can have it with or without any infill; it can be an open-sky pergola or you can have a glass or polycarbonate infill,” says Rawling.
“The feedback that we’ve received from our installation network, and also from customers is that this is an attractive product for them, and so we’ve introduced this to the market to fulfil that need.”
Features:
All outdoor living systems by Juralco are designed and manufactured in New Zealand, and they are custom-made for every project. “We tailor our products for customers’ individual requirements,” says Rawling.
“We have a nationwide network of installers across New Zealand’s North and South Islands. We are available for technical assistance over the phone, or our dedicated team via the internet. We also have specification spaces on our website where a specifier or design professional can upload supporting technical documents for any council consent process, including a producer statement, technical manuals, compliance information and general guidance. We can also assist if there are any non-standard fixings that they want to use, or they want to use a louvre roof in conjunction with something else, then that’s something our internal engineers and design team can also provide guidance and assistance with.”
