Recently, Weathertex amended its Weathergroove wall panel warranty to allow a tighter radius according to each profile, ideal for added flexibility for its clients’ high-end projects.
“When it comes to reliable ways to do curved walls, we now have a great solution that no one else can offer on the market,” says Matthew Holm, Business Development Manager at Weathertex.
According to Matthew, curved walls are becoming a popular feature in boutique builds.
“One of our recent projects had a decorative curved wall, not a structural piece, with a really tight radius,” explains Matthew. “The builders had to work off the main wall and wrap the curved section around it.”
Matthew continues, “Traditionally, this would involve cutting foam and using fibre cement, which, unfortunately, often snaps. But our Weathergroove wall panels, which are flexible and lightweight, allow the curve without breaking."
“We've recently revised our curved wall structural mandate for our Weathergroove wall panel range, so we can now use it in tighter radii. Previously, our curved wall structural radius was a minimum of 7.5 metres. Now we can go as tight as 1.5m depending on the profile you use – which no one else can offer on the market,” notes Matthew.

Natural ingredients
All Weathertex products are made in Australia from PEFC-certified state forest or private hardwoods with no added silica, glues, resins or formaldehyde. Furthermore, Weathertex weatherboards are guaranteed not to rot, split, or crack for up to 25 years.
“Our product is made of hardwood and paraffin wax—97 per cent Australian hardwood and 3 per cent paraffin wax. It is a natural product with no silica, resins, binders or glues,” notes Matthew.
“Especially with the new silica laws in place, it's a great product when cutting as it gives you peace of mind,” he adds.

Mathew shares, “We have a new finish in our Selflok V-Groove range, now available in Smooth finish which we’ve just launched on the market. Selflok V-Groove weatherboards can also be installed vertically when using the horizontal batten system."
