Backed by an experienced plumbing company, Warm NZ is not only able to supply the most advanced European-made heating systems they can also quickly and efficiently install them as well.

One call to Warm NZ Limited will get your total heating supply and installation package sorted. With more than 30 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industries, they are a one-stop-shop offering different heating solutions to suit a variety of requirements.

From underfloor heating to radiators, or boilers to Rayburn ovens, whatever type of home or location you live in, they can steer you in the right direction, with some of the best and most up-to-date heating products in the world.

Managing Director, Sean Stephens, explains how they established the heating company after being approached at sister company Plumbcraft.

“One of our Plumbcraft suppliers, Rehau—a high-end German pipe manufacturer—asked us in 1998 if we were interested in training for the installation of underfloor heating. That’s when we started doing some large commercial projects including hospitals, prisons, air bases and some big commercial freezers.

“After building strong relationships with New Zealand’s premium suppliers, the opportunity arose to purchase the central heating division from one of our suppliers, which had been established in the heating market for a long time. So that’s how Warm NZ was formed in 2014—and it’s just grown from there,” says Sean.

Manufactured in the UK by Grant, the Vortex external condensing boiler delivers efficiency levels of up to 97 per cent and features the award-winning Grant Vortex stainless steel condensing heat exchanger and turbulator baffle system.

Complementary businesses

Now, they are in a unique position as plumbing and heating businesses that complement one another by providing installation services and supplying heating products. It also means they can train staff to do the product installation right the first time and, their trained staff also bring a lot of experience to every job. But they have never rested on their laurels.

Since their inception in 2014, they have constantly made improvements and created better systems with both end-users and installers in mind.

Says North Island Sales Manager Todd Bowmast: “The government is always trying to improve systems for better energy efficiency. They’re aiming for lower emissions by 2025. Because all our products come from Europe, including gas and diesel boilers from the UK, our suppliers are way ahead with the technology they provide.”

The boiler products from the UK are designed to run with lower emissions. Meanwhile, hydrogen-ready boilers are being developed in Europe now to comply with the direction the heating market is moving in.

The Paladin heritage radiator is a character piece designed to impart a period feel in traditional homes.

Heating for old and new homes

Warm NZ offers underfloor heating plans for new homes with detailed, fully engineered designs. They also supply and install radiators incorporating systems to heat domestic hot water for both new and existing homes.

Warm NZ’s radiator systems are ideal for renovation projects, especially homes with a crawl space underneath for access or underfloor heating for new extensions.

At the heart of the warm water central heating system is a heat source—either gas, diesel or an air to water heat pump that can quietly heat all your domestic hot water and circulate it around the home to radiators or to underfloor pipes. They can even heat a pool or spa pool via a heat exchanger as well.

If you have an old bungalow or villa, the team at Warm NZ will walk through and assess your spaces before providing a specific solution for your home. Also, because they take care of the entire installation, there’s no wait, your whole house could be toasty warm and dry in one to two days after the system has been installed and commissioned.

The wood- or solid fuel-powered Rayburn oven provides peerless cooking performance with the added convenience of domestic hot water and/or central heating when connected to radiators via a wetback system.

New products

One of their latest products is a heritage radiator that they bring in from the UK. With its decorative character surface detailing, the Paladin looks like it was built sometime between the 1900s and the 1930s.

“Often people put them in an entry foyer or living room where people can see them and they install a standard radiator where they won’t be seen, in rooms such as bedrooms,” says Todd.

For people with homes on lifestyle blocks or with country properties, the wood- or solid fuel-powered Rayburn oven is a popular choice. It provides peerless cooking performance with the added convenience of domestic hot water and/or central heating when connected to radiators via a wetback system.

“For those people with access to lots of trees, they’re provided a free energy source for hot water and heating.”

Warm NZ will be showcasing the Rayburn oven and other high-quality heating systems at the upcoming Mystery Creek Field Days at Ohaupo from June 16 to 19, or customers can visit their Auckland-based showroom in Takanini.
