Introducing SineWave’s consultancy and design services
From initial planning to final installation, SineWave works closely with homeowners, architects, design professionals, and tradespeople to achieve seamless integration of automation tailored to each client’s unique vision.
“Starting the automation planning early is key,” says Ken Sodeau, director at SineWave. “By prewiring during construction or renovation, we’re giving homeowners the flexibility to add more technology over time without additional disruption. Even if the current owners aren’t ready to fully automate right away, the groundwork will be in place for them – or any future owners – to build on the system seamlessly.”
The key is embracing automation so that it works for you – taking into account your budget, needs and lifestyle.
"In today’s homes, entertainment and control systems are often scattered across various zones. At SineWave, we centralise these elements to simplify management and reduce clutter,” says Ken. “We provide an elegant, intuitive interface that gives you complete control from anywhere – whether you’re relaxing on the sofa or checking in while travelling. Technology should simplify your life, not complicate it.”
Audio and lighting control have become particularly popular among homeowners, offering sophisticated ways to personalise your living space. These systems create the perfect ambience for any moment, from entertaining to quiet evenings at home.
Recent SineWave projects showcase how intelligent lighting can transform your daily experience. The system automatically adjusts throughout the day, supporting your natural rhythms with warmer tones in the mornings and evenings, transitioning to energising brightness during active hours.
Smart sensors provide gentle illumination for nighttime navigation, ensuring comfort and safety without disrupting your sleep patterns.
Lighting control is becoming popular for its ability to create the perfect ambience for any moment.
For entertainment, SineWave creates seamless audio experiences that flow through your home.
“New Zealanders love to entertain. We design audio solutions that bring music to life in living spaces and kitchens, extending the experience outdoors to pool areas, decks, and verandahs.”
Your automation system can integrate every aspect of home control – from curtains and security to climate control, pool systems, and gate access – all working in harmony.
Our designs prioritise aesthetic integration, concealing technology components while maintaining their full functionality.
SineWave also designs audio solutions to elevate your outdoor entertaining experience.
“Initial client meetings focus on understanding lifestyle needs and possibilities. We collaborate closely with all stakeholders, reviewing and revising plans to anticipate and prevent potential challenges,” explains Ken.
“After installation and move-in, we give clients time to experience their new environment before fine-tuning everything to perfection. Our showroom demonstrates fun possibilities – like a ‘Relax’ setting that adjusts lighting, activates the fireplace, and starts your favourite music. While not everyone wants that specific scene, it shows how we can create personalised experiences unique to each client. Our relationship continues long after installation, allowing systems to grow and adapt with changing needs.”
"We can create personalised experiences unique to each client," says Ken.
