The benefits of pre-painted plywood timber cladding

Immediate installation: Without the need for the first coat to be applied once the product has arrived on site, pre-coated Triclad board and batten can be installed by the builder straight away.

Protection from the elements: Pre-painting means that the edges of the panels are already painted – something that can sometimes be difficult to achieve if coating is happening on the construction site. This means the product is protected from any weather experienced before painting can be completed.

Cost-effective: Painting in the factory is more cost-effective thanks to the speed the process is performed.

Minimising wastage: With pre-painting applied in a controlled factory environment, there is also the potential for less paint wastage.

Customisable to every project: Both Triclad Lapped Weatherboards and the Enduroclad Board and Batten Cladding System are available pre-painted. This pre-paint colour and brand can be selected by the client.

The feedback from architects and building professionals who have opted for their Triclad cladding to be pre-painted is that they have all been impressed.

“The builder can put all elements on straight away, as soon as the product arrives on site,” says Garmonsway. It goes without saying that the more efficiently you can do something in the building process, the better. And this doesn’t disrupt anything; it doesn’t make it any more difficult for the builder, the homeowner or the architect, it just makes it a lot easier by streamlining the whole process.”
